The program aims to identify feasible technologies for recovery of Lithium from Lithium- Ion batteries in a cost-effective and safe manner and develop an E-waste Management Center for Auto and IT sectors.

The program is set up to demonstrative unit having capability of segregation, shredding, chemical processing and material recovery (Lithium, Cadmium and other) and to make this technology available for commercial use.

The vehicle e-waste recycling enables studying feasibility of using plasma furnace for recovery of precious metal from surface coatings of spent catalytic converters.

Description

PKC has tied up with multiple stakeholders for the technology and knowledge sharing. The collaboration is set out to develop an E-waste Management Center for Auto and IT sectors.
