January 25, 2023 Wednesday 5 pm to 6 pm (IST)	Health Public Talk Introduction to Clinical Genomics The speaker says: Several diseases, including cancer, are caused by genomic mutations. Identifying the causative mutation requires sequencing the genome and then analyzing the data that results. What follows is often confounding in various ways, as this talk will illustrate with real examples-infants who pass away mysteriously, siblings with misplaced organs, sisters whose heart fails in their 20s, an infant whose blood can’t carry enough oxygen, and my own colour blindness. Specially, we show a novel W-Net architecture that we developed for extracting synoptic ocean features from concurrent satellite images.
