The Health Vertical aims to advance public health through a collaborative ecosystem. Our initiatives include an open-source database of 2,000 COVID-19 patients with over 100 clinical parameters, and the sequencing of 15,000+ SARS-CoV-2 samples. Our Wastewater Surveillance (WWS) tracks diseases like H1N1, H3N2, AMR, RSV, COVID-19, and Influenza A, providing vital data for public health authorities. We also support dengue research and genome sequencing and offer training to health field workers through our SAKSHAM Series of workshops for Multipurpose Workers. By working closely with the government and stakeholders, we aim to enhance disease surveillance and public health outcomes.

PKC has been facilitating cutting edge research in the health domain. Some of these efforts have been recognized and mentioned in internationally renowned scientific journals.

Wastewater surveillance in post-omicron silent phase uncovers silent waves and cryptic transmission of SARS-CoV-2 variants; a yearlong study in Western India

The band of five outbreak data analytics approach, which integrates five different types of data, highlights the importance of a strong surveillance system with high-quality meta-data for understanding the spatiotemporal evolution of the SARS-CoV-2 genome in Pune.

We examined growth of incident confirmed COVID-19 patients before, during and after lockdowns during the first wave in Pune city that reported the largest COVID-19 burden at the peak of the pandemic.

To assess trends in case incidence and fatality rate between the first and second waves, we analyzed programmatic COVID-19 data from Pune city, an epicenter of COVID-19 cases in India.
